What is this sub really for?

I subscribed to this sub a while back in the hopes of finding an interesting place to share my writing and get some feedback.

Unfortunately, this sub is a total wasteland as far as that goes. It is overrun by the inexperienced, the unskilled, the lazy, the leeches, and the whiners.

I think you get my drift.

Is it wrong for me to think that I should be able to find a place where I can share my completed work, and not have to worry about getting my inbox slammed with everyone else's incomplete crap? Am I wrong to think I should be able to share my work, without being required to provide an extensive feedback in return? Or, that I should have to "farm" karma by "supporting" (read: stroking the ego of) everyone else who posts here just so my own work can see the front page?

Am I wrong for thinking that maybe people who post " rp idea, looking for partner(s)!!" shouldn't be here? Or, the people who post "a short story I thought of to justify my- *insert fetish here*- kink!!" who need their hand held through the process for every step of the writing process?

I'm not sorry in the least if I come across as a snob for expecting better. I'm not even a "published author" or anything like that, and yet I expect to be treated as if I was by the people in this sub. Some of us actually have things to say worth listening to, and I'd like to think there are other people like that out there who I can connect with.

My frustration with this sub is growing exponentially, and I'm beginning to think that this just isn't the right place to find the kind of intellectual peer that I'm looking for.
