What happened to the popularity of AI in the public eye?

Remember a year ago (2022) when we read news articles about how “AI is everywhere now! We can’t live without it!”? Like the buzz just hit ridiculously high levels.<br><br>Then I think things just started getting too ridiculous (and scary) when we had AI winning art competitions, and people being laid off for AI. <br><br>It seems like the media reached a point where they just stopped talking about it. <br><br>What happened? Too many problems and downsides to speak about?
