the Blue Zones are places in the world where people are not on average going to live to 78....but live into the hundreds. There are five places in the world that are the Blue Zones.

Okinawa, Japan, Sardinia, Italy, Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica, Ikaria, Greece and Loma Linda, California.

These places are remote, and are not well connected to the rest of the world, and are rural...except for Loma Linda, California which I don't know why that is one of the Blue Zones.

Loma Linda, California is a city of 24,000 people and it's part of the LA metropolitan area.

I am not surprised that the other 4 places are Blue Zones as they are rural and remote places where the people have never been able to connect to modern society.
