AITA for not telling my parents my graduating top 5%

So when my school was explaining the graduation ceremony, they also explained the honor system. There are these colored ropes that you can wear over your gown to indicate your gpa. Gold for 90% and above and white for 85-89%. I’m currently graduating in the 95% bracket and my parents are expecting me to wear gold but they don’t know I’m not gonna do it. Being in top 5% for 4 years straight and maintaining a high gpa comes with a lot of stress and I don’t think it deserves to be flaunted or something to be “proud” about. My parents are the type to take pictures with everyone they see wearing the ropes and I don’t wanna do that. They asked if I’m going to buy one and I said no because they make you pay for them. So I’m planning on just wearing the school standard green one. My parents don’t know this yet and I don’t think I’m gonna tell them until graduation day.
