My local council’s face mask supplier got raided by the police

My local council are bragging about how they’re giving local businesses a chance to supply them with face masks. Well, it turns out that the face masks were made by child labour. <br><br>Some highlights of the news report:<br><br>* Several children were rescued and are being temporarily looked after by a charity and are being interrogated by social workers<br>* The workers were mainly migrants. They didn’t have any papers or proof of identity. They were paid very minimal wage<br>* The business owner and two investors/organisers were arrested<br>* People need to wear the face masks because of COVID, so now the police might reuse the face masks for the police and healthcare workers<br>* The business owner set up the business in June when they knew the council needed face masks. Several other businesses are being investigated for labour exploitation and fraud.
