I'm tired of seeing the "lack of representation for black people" controversy in every single movie that comes out now. It doesn't matter if the movie is about a real life event where pretty much everyone was white, someone will still call it out for not having any black people in it.

I think this is getting sorely overused. I mean, back in the day, obviously a lot of black people should have gotten recognition they didn't, but now I feel like there's at least a little too much emphasis on stamping out nondiversity in movies to the point where it's just an overused mindless criticism.

Like for example the movie Dunkirk got tons of hate from people saying "Why aren't there any black people in this movie even though this event really happened and it was 100% white people there in real life?" They literally had people checking the credits to see if there were any black people. It was ridiculous.

Or that one movie Aquaman that came out last year, that movie was about a fictional aquatic city but a redditor said "They could've cast a black actor for Aquaman because it's not based off of anything real, it would be a cool chance to diversify." Even though Aquaman is obviously white in the comics.

I'm tired of people constantly complaining about a lack of "representation."
