*Early Christians* in the Roman Empire were first persecuted and later tolerated - they were only asked to follow laws, pay taxes, and hail the Emperor as divine and supreme (Roman King was believed divine in Rome) - early Christians were not only allowed to reject the offer but were asked to carry on with their original religious beliefs
*Later on, when Christians became more powerful and were ruling several parts of Rome, they began forcing conversion on Pagans and Jews - not because of the religious persecution, but due to political domination*
*And even when Christians ruled Rome and Europe, they didn't force conversion with swords - they built churches, offered the forsaken or poor a place in Christian houses, and offered salvation in exchange of conversion - there is no record of any Christian king forcing conversion by sword, carrying massacres (yes, there were inquisitions but it were primarily against the heretics - not the pagans)*

What did happen in India?
*Massive massacres and conversions*
*People were given only three options - death, conversion, or slavery*
*Temples were broken, people were brutally killed, and the sacred texts were burned alive*
*Women and children were taken into sexual slavery*
