I have a creepy guy following me around. I'd appreciate advice

Last November I tutored this guy on my campus. We met at a table in the library and I noticed a strange tattoo on his hand, but I didn't have the courage to ask him what it meant. We had a normal tutoring session, other than he took an unusual level of interest in me and my hobbies and interests.<br><br>Our second tutoring session was also normal, but in the last five minutes I noticed a black yoga mat under his jacket. I thought maybe he had yoga class before or after our session, but I realized later that he didn't have a yoga class.<br><br>The weekend after Thanksgiving, I started getting texts from this guy. It was late at night and he was saying that he had a dream about me and he was "feeling a little gay" and was "thinking about" me. I was horrified and asked him to stop, telling him he was making me uncomfortable. He said he was sorry, and then he started sending me dick pics. I was going crazy, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.<br><br>Our third tutoring session, he showed up late. He told me he had to finish a paper, but I saw him walking up to the library and when he got to the table he was holding a rolled up yoga mat. He unrolled it and I noticed it had three holes for eyes. I was terrified and when our tutoring session was over, I called campus police and told them about the texts.<br><br>The officer came and met me at the library, and she said it sounded like this guy had a delusional relationship with me. She said she would contact him and tell him to leave me alone and that if I ever felt like I was in danger, I should contact her or another officer.<br><br>The next day, this guy texted me and said, "I'm coming for you." I was scared and contacted the officer. She told me to go to her office and I met up with her. She said the guy was in the parking lot with his yoga mat and she called a colleague to come and talk to him. After a few minutes, I saw this guy through the window and he was walking through the parking lot, with his yoga mat rolled up.<br><br>The officer said there was nothing she could do and that I should contact the police, not campus police. I took her advice and filed a report with the police department. They sent an officer and a detective to meet me. I told them about the texts and the creepy stuff, and the officer said they would go talk to him.<br><br>I haven't heard from the police since then, but I've noticed this guy on campus. He's always wearing a hoodie and sunglasses, and he's always walking behind me. If I stop to talk to someone, he stops and turns around. I've never seen him in class, but I have no idea who he is or what he wants. My friends are telling me I should buy a gun, but I don't know if I want to go that far.
