Does people saying “I love you” to family and close friends so easily make people less special or loved to others?

Is there a point where saying “I love you” to someone makes them less special to other people? Can it make the people you say it to feel less special?<br>Ex: My friend who grew up in college said they always say “I love you” to their roommates, friends, and alike, and I was like “I never say that” and my friends were like “oh we don’t say that too”. I have never said that to a non family member, however my friends and I are like “I love you” in the sense of we love each other a lot like if one of us died we’d be heartbroken, but I would never say that to them or them to me. IDK if that makes sense.
