We need to talk.

Just a few weeks ago this community was a happy place for all of us to discuss anime. Today it's nothing but constant shit flinging from both sides.<br><br>Those of you who support ControversyOfTheYear don't seem to understand that you're causing a lot of people to leave. We understand that Chambers as a whole is generally left-leaning, but that doesn't mean we have to accept it. Part of being a part of a community is accepting that not everyone will agree with you, and learning to live with that. This is a place for discussion and debate, not a place to shout at people until they agree with you. If you can't handle the fact that some people don't think the same way as you, then you need to take a step back and reflect on your actions.<br><br>And to those of you who are angry that ControversyOfTheYear is trans... well, I really don't know what to say. You're the reason this sub is so divided right now, and your actions are the reason that so many people are leaving. Regardless of whether or not you "agree" with being trans, it's gone so far that mods are now getting death threats. If you've participated in this, you need to go and really think about your life choices.<br><br>Even if you don't like it, ControversyOfTheYear is human and deserves the same amount of respect as any other human being. This isn't about "accepting" or "rejecting" transgender people, it's just about treating people like people.<br><br>I don't want to sound like a weary old man shouting at the kids to get off my lawn, but come on guys.
