My wife has been peeking at me from around corners and behind furniture. It's gone from weird to terrifying

My wife "Lynn" and I have been together for six years and married for 11 months. Our entire history together has been very normal and never once have I noticed any weird behaviors or red flags. I can't stress enough how out of character this whole thing is for her.

Things started last week when I was in the kitchen and I felt like someone was watching me. I looked to see what it was and saw my wife peeking at me from around the corner. When she saw me look at her, she acted like she was trying to surprise me and said, "surprise! I couldn't wait to see you!" It really gave me a weird vibe but figured she was just being silly. Then I remembered she had a meeting that was supposed to start at 10am and it was already 11:30. So I asked her when the meeting was and she said she didn't have one. It was very strange but I also know her job is pretty unpredictable so I didn't think much more into it. It was also a weekday so I figured she just wanted to spent the morning with me before I left for work.

That night I was in the extra bedroom doing some coding and Lynn walked in and we started chatting. She ended up leaving but then I felt that "being watched" feeling again. I looked around and couldn't see her but she was definitely in the room. I finally found her peeking over the desk at me, staring. She quickly got up and ran out of the room like a kid that got caught. It was hilarious in a weird way. It was also terrifying.

The next day, which was yesterday, I was cooking dinner in the kitchen. I was in the mood for bacon, potato, and egg breakfast burritos so I was constantly running back and forth to different appliances. I think I was stirring the potatoes when I felt that weird sensation again and when I looked up I saw Lynn peeking at me from around the corner again. I couldn't take it anymore, and joked, "gotcha! I know you're there!" She didn't smile or laugh, she just kinda ran out of view. It made me feel bad like I just scared a little kid. I wanted to see if she would do it again so I kept cooking and about 10 minutes later I felt it again. This time instead of joking about catching her, I decided to catch her. Without saying anything or giving her a hint I slowly walked over to the corner she was peeking at me from and quickly jumped around to surprise her. Except she wasn't there. I stepped back around the corner and saw her walking away. She was about 10 feet away from me and I know she wasn't that far when I got to the corner. It was so weird.

This morning I woke up to her peeking over the side of the bed at me. When she saw me look at her she smiled and said "good morning sleepy head" and ran off to the bathroom to shower before work. I felt a little bad again for trying to scare her yesterday. I fell back asleep and when I woke up again she was gone and had already left for work. I checked her alarm clock to see if I had slept in but it said 8:13. She leaves for work everyday at 7:30 so I don't know how I slept through that or why her alarm never went off. I though maybe she was late getting ready and overslept and was in a hurry to get out the door. Strange.

I'm currently in my bed typing this out on my phone. I was in the extra bedroom a little while ago when I heard Lynn walking down the hallway towards me. The door was closed and when she got to it she stopped. I don't know how long she stood there but it felt like forever. I work from home a lot and have been doing it more often lately since Covid so I know she shouldn't be off work right now, or at least she didn't tell me she was taking the day off. I decided to try to recreate that feeling of what it's like for her when she's peeking at me. I slowly turned the door handle and cracked the door open. I took a deep breath and slowly peeked around the corner and saw her peeking back at me around the other corner. I jumped back and shut the door and ran to the bed and am currently hiding under the covers.

I don't know what to do and I'm scared. I've never had a problem with her before and I don't want to think she's gone crazy but I don't know what else it could be. I know it sounds crazy and made up but it's what's happening. I can't leave this room. I'm hoping she goes away and I can call for help. I might not update after this. Wish me luck.
