Anyone else notice that a LOT of modern children are terrified of death?

So I know that it's not unheard of for children to be afraid of, or to have questions about death. But the last few years I've encountered a lot of kids honestly terrified of the idea of death and dying. Now I'm not a child psychologist or anything but imo - it's pretty rare to see a lot of healthy kids be so terrified of death. A lot of these kids have been normal and happy for the most part, aside from their fear of death. No trauma, nothing distressing seems to have happened in their lives, or to have caused this. I had a few talks with some parents and they are all stumped for why their kids are this way. So I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience?
