A lot of the television shows using fully cgi characters are over rated

Lets take a good example here, the show love death and robots. Awesome show, I loved most of the episodes in season 3, but some were just boring, and I cant explain why. Until I saw another show, Final Space season 4. This show is great, awesome story and characters, and I think I found the key here. Final Space is 2d animation, and the difference is that 2d animation almost always seems to make the show more visually appealing, and it always gives a nice visual finish compared to 3D cgi. For example I can take an old show like Masha and the bear, and today it still looks visually appealing and nice to watch. While 3D cgi does not stay the same way. I am not saying it is impossible for 3d cgi to look good. I am saying it is harder to cgi 3d characters compared to 2d ones.
