It's been 9 months since I started tracking all my habits, moods, energy levels, sleep, body temperature, stress level, focus levels and more. I'm extremely autistic so this kind of stuff really helps me stay organized and make sense of my life.

I've been using Google Sheets and have had to create multiple charts because there are just so many variables. It's been a lot of fun though.

Here's what I've learned so far:

1. **Magnesium L-Threonic is a game-changer**: Out of all the nootropics I've been experimenting with, I can confidently say that Mag-L-Threonic has been the most profound. My energy levels have increased by at least 50% and my mood is overall better. I've been using it for the past 4 months and haven't noticed any side effects.

2. **Sleeping in the afternoon is a productivity killer**: I used to think a short nap in the afternoon would be refreshing, but it just made me groggy and disoriented. My focus levels were also compromised afterward.

3. **Less sleep on weekdays results in more sleep on weekends**: I've historically not been able to get out of bed on weekends. I've always felt like I'm dragging myself out of bed out of obligation rather than wanting to actually get up and be productive. However, if I only get 6-7 hours of sleep during the week, I'm more inclined to wake up earlier on the weekends. It's not ideal but I'd rather wake up at 9am on a Saturday than 2pm.

4. **My body temperature is directly tied to my base energy levels**: I wasn't surprised by this but I didn't realize just how much it affects me. I've always known I don't do well in the heat or cold, but holy shit, it really does have a huge impact on my energy levels. I feel like I'm half dead if I'm too hot or cold. Noted for anyone who doesn't like me: I have a medical condition that makes me very temperature sensitive, so don't @ me, I guess.

5. **My weight is directly tied to my energy levels**: I lost 35 pounds over the past 9 months and my overall energy levels have steadily risen. The more weight I lose, the more energetic I feel. It's been a struggle because of aforementioned temperature sensitivity, but I just deal with it. This will most likely be true for most people, but it's interesting to see it play out on the charts.

6. **My relationships are suffering**: I've put so much time into my nootropics, tracking and deep-diving into my mind and body that I've inadvertently put a strain on my relationships with friends and family.

7. **The stress/focus correlation is strong**: When I'm stressed, my focus levels plummet. However, when I put my AirPods on and listen to lofi music, my focus levels skyrocket and my stress levels dramatically decrease. I don't know what I would do without lofi music at this point. It's my go to productivity hack.

8. **I don't need 8 hours of sleep**: Another thing that won't be shocking to most of you, but I've found I can get away with less sleep than the average person and still function fine. I'm sure I'm messing up my body in the long run, but I can't help that I've always needed less sleep. I used to think I couldn't function without at least 8 hours of sleep, but I've found 6-7 hours is plenty for me.

9. **I have more control over my moods than I thought**: After seeing all the correlations on my sheet, I can safely say that I have more control over my moods and energy levels than I thought. If I'm feeling stressed, I know that a 10-minute walk and some lofi music will bring my stress levels way down.

10. **Hormonal birth control affects my moods, energy levels and focus**: I've experimented with 4 different types of birth control and I can confidently say they all have a negative impact on my mood, energy levels and stress levels. This has been an interesting experiment and I've learned a lot, but I finally feel like I have all the answers. There are a few types of BC I have not tried yet, but I'm just so tired of experimenting at this point.

These are the most glaring correlations I've noticed so far, but I will continue to experiment with my routine and track everything.

**Edit:** I've been using 200mg of Mag-L-Threonic once a day, every day for 4 months. I understand that dosage and length of time may change results, but this is just my experience so far.

**Edit 2:** I feel like I need to reiterate that I am extremely autistic and have a lot of medical issues, including a genetic disorder, so take this for what it's worth. This is what works for me and I cannot say what will work for you. Also, please don't message me with questions about where I get my nootropics or anything like that. I just want to share my experience, not necessarily give advice. Thank you.
