I'm a server, and because you get better treatment when you tip good, I will always tip 20%.

So I think this is important to mention, I don't drink so I'm never at a bar. I'm talking about actual restaurants. Every time I go to a restaurant, I will always tip 20%. I'm not a big eater and I usually spend about $10 at a restaurant. I will tip $2 so 20%. All I ever order is water. I usually tip the server or if I think the server doesn't get all the tips I'll call the manager and ask if my tip will go to the server. Honestly, I usually never have complaints about service and it's usually good. But I don't want to be the person complaining about a slight accident. So usually the server goes over to me quickly and takes my order. When I complain about something, I make a big deal out of it. I always give them the option to fix it and always act polite. They usually will fix it right away. I don't care if the food is a little bit delayed, it's the service that matters, that's what I'm paying for. So I expect good service and I usually always get good service. I don't understand why people complain about service. I don't think many people tip 20% because when I give them $2 they seem surprised. I don't like to eat out though but when I want to I just give my money.
