CMV: If the NFL had to move to an All Canadian Team, they would be beating the shit out of American Teams in 3 years or less.

Personally I do not see this being a feasible path for the NFL to take in terms of moving to Canada. However, if they were to take that route, I believe that Canada could poach the best 45 players from all colleges plus their own Colleges and Universities, give them the best training facilities, and have them play each other, and within 2-3 years they would be taking down American Teams left and right. At the end of the day, Football is a game of skill, but Athletics is the foundation of skill. If you put a team of 6'2 250lb Canadian Beef against American Beef, I believe the best the Canadians can do is equal to the worst the Americans have to offer. However if you take the largest and leanest of the Canadians and give them NLF Training, I think they would be an "unequal" match to the majority of American Beef.

**EDIT** Let me make a few things clear, I am not suggesting this should ever happen, I am not suggesting we are better on a level of skill, I am suggesting that if we took our largest and leanest - who are already naturally athletic, and gave them NFL training, in an environment that is just as good as the NFL, I believe that we would have two main advantages, giving us an edge over American Teams.

The first would be the offensive Line. Taking the largest and leanest Canadians I believe that we could field an OLine of 6'6 minimum, 315 lbs minimum, at around 18-20% body fat. The largest and leanest Americans I believe "TOP OUT" at their ceiling on bodyfat%, muscle mass, and height, and my CMV is that there would be enough Canadians to field an OLine that is significantly larger and leaner than any NFL Team. What that means in the long run is that our OLine would be largely impenetrable to American Defensive Lines. We would be able to take the most athletic Defensive Ends in the NFL and get to them at just over a second in passing plays at the minimum, as well as 2 seconds in running plays at the minimum.

The second would be on Defensive Ends. If we field a Defensive End that is as large and lean as a NFL offensive Lineman, which again, is only my opinion, I think we could field an athlete with the size and speed of a peak J.J. Watt. I believe that the Canadians would have a size advantage over the American Linemen, and would see through blocks more easily than NFL DE's because they would be offsetting an OLine that's 20-30lbs lighter than them, than the American DE's would be. The thing that I believe separates us from the Americans is that while top NFL offensive Linemen have to be large "OR" lean and athletic. I believe that there are enough Canadians to be both - lean, large, and athletic.

So again, please do not think that I believe this will happen, or "should" happen. What I do believe is that if you give the largest, leanest, and most athletic Canadians the NFL training facilities, and a team that is equal in quality to the NFL, that they could absorb a 10% loss in skill if the payoff is that they will be significantly larger and leaner than the opposing team. I believe that if you have two teams where 100% of the Skills are "awesome" to the point of being essentially equal, but one team has a 10% "size and lean advantage", they would take down the "larger" team. Alternatively, two teams of the same size, with one team having a 10% advantage in skill. The larger team would take down the smaller team. Again, this is just my opinion, and I want to see what you guys have to say.

**TLDR** If Canada poached the best 45 players out of their colleges and universities, and gave them professional NFL training, I believe that they would be able to beat American Teams by a landslide in "4 years or less". Canada has some of the most athletic, large, and lean men on the planet, and if you give them the best training facilities, I believe that there would be a noticeable difference in size, lean, and athletic ability, which would give Canada a noticeable advantage in the game. A variation of this argument applies to most sports.
