I'm a preschool teacher and I'm losing my mind

I work in a private school with about 50 kids from ages 3-6. My coworkers are very religious in general. Christianity and I'm sure most of them are also QAnon people. I'm a pretty normal American Christian but when I express things like "I think we should be wearing masks" at work, I get scoffed at and told I'm believing the media too much. YIKES.

I'm fucking scared of COVID. I had it a year ago in the summer and had a BAD time. I do not want to get it again. I also do not wish to get anyone else sick.

So I WEAR A MASK. I do not make anyone else wear a mask, my coworkers choose to not wear masks, that's fine, but I keep my mask on because it is my choice.

So when the kids walk in and see me wearing a mask, some of them are like "oh! You're wearing a mask!" And I say, "yes, I am. I like to have my mask on to keep me and my friends safe."

These kids come to school without a mask on and go home and tell their parents "my teacher was wearing a mask today!" And the parents get mad at me for wearing a mask. I apparently make the kids feel uncomfortable and unsafe because I have a piece of fabric on my face. I've gotten in so much shit for this from parents. Like, I don't care that you don't believe in masks, this is my choice and these are my rights. I can't control what the kids say to their parents after I drop them off but the parents are telling me I'm scaring their kids.

Am I in the wrong?
