What languages do you think will be widely spoken in the next 100 years?

I often hear that English is slowly dying out as the global language, and that Chinese will become the next widely spoken language. But what do people think the global situation will be like as far as second-language speakers go? Will English slowly go out, or will it stay strong? Are there any other contenders for the next global language?
