What makes Europe so great?

I'm an American who has traveled extensively through Europe, Americas, Africa and Asia, and I've always wondered what makes Europe so popular. Europe was the first place I ever visited outside of the US, and looking back it was kind of lacking in everything but I still enjoyed it. I've been to many countries since then, and Europe has not really left a lasting impact on me other than the unnecessary stress and boredom of trying to get myself around with trains and public transport. <br><br>I don't really understand the fascination with Europe. The food, the culture, the people, the infrastructure, the history of Europe is all really interesting, but I feel the same way about every other place I've visited.
