I was talking to my friend and he said some creepy stuff

I was talking to my friend on the phone and I was asking him how he was doing and he said that he was fine, and I was wondering out loud what the point of life is and if there was anything after death. My friend said that there was something after death and he knew this because he was a "dead person" and there was some kind of place where he was one of many others like him. He said not to worry though, I, as a living person, would not have to deal with that aspect of the afterlife. He only mentioned it because he wanted to tell me that there was a place to go after death so I wouldn't have to worry. I asked him what he meant by "dead people" and he said that it was just a name for people like him, and that they were similar to me, but different. He basically said that he couldn't help me in life, aside from giving me a word of advice. He told me not to do anything I was going to regret. I was kind of confused, for obvious reasons, but he said he had to go and I should not contact him again. I asked him how I was supposed to contact him if not by phone, and he said "you won't have to contact me again. Don't contact me again". And the call was over. My friend has been out of town for a while and I'm sure this wasn't him on the phone, because he would never say anything like that. In fact, he's not even religious. I'm a little scared and I don't know who or what was on the phone.
