Budgeting for groceries has never been more difficult

I'm at the point where I'm not sure what to do anymore. I used to try to budget and shop for groceries for around €60 - €80 a week for myself and my partner, we are big plastic reducing people so we shop for fresh produce, but never buys pre made meals.

I'm just finding it's becoming so impossible to budget anymore. I live in Ireland which is notorious for being expensive to live in. We are finding out now that other countries such as France, Spain, Portugal etc. are actually way more financially stable and cheaper to live in.

Food prices here are insane and it's so disheartening to go into a shop to try and buy a week worth of produce for €60+ and still nothing last us the week that long. We are both huge home cookers and we love cooking but it's becoming so difficult to afford.

Has anyone experienced this issue? How do you get around it? I'm probably going to ring around the local farmers to see if we can buy any produce from them for cheaper prices or just get the better produce for a similar price.

If anyone has any tips I'd greatly appreciate it.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just at a loss of what I'm meant to do.
