What if Earth had a habitable moon? What are some of the impacts of us having a second habitable planet?

I've always been facinated about moons, and habitability. I'm not here to open a debate about the validity of the moon's habitability, what I am here for is to ask, what if we had a habitable moon? If we had one, with everything that it needs to sustain life, how would that impact us? You can consider this to be a somewhat hypothetical question, but I am really curious about what the answers might be in this post, here are some points I would be interested in if you answered, if you are so kind to.<br><br>* How would this effect the course of our evolution and history?<br>* Would we be able to colonize it?<br>* Would we be able to terraform it? (Edit: Let me correct myself, un-terraform a habitable moon, what I mean by this, is make the moon from a place where we can live, to a place where we can't. For those asking.)<br>* What kind of conflicts might it create?<br>* Would we see it as a second home, or would it be something else to us?<br>* What would kind of minerals and resources could we obtain from it?<br>* Would we be able to mine the moon? Or has the moon already suffered from such a fate?<br>* What was the impact of this moon on the wars we fought?<br>* What impact would it have on our relationships with other nations?<br>* How would this impact our everyday lives?<br>* What would be the societal impact of having more living space?<br>* What would be the impact of the moon's conditions on us, microgravity, toxic atmosphere, lack of magnetosphere, etc.<br>* How would we deal with the moon's infections? If it's uninhabitable, we might be able to use it for resource extraction, but that might lead to a possibility of a cross contamination.<br>* How would the myths of the moon change?<br>* How would the life in the moon effect it's own self?<br>* How would having two habitable planets effect our climate?<br>* How would the moon's own ecosystem effect our own?<br>* Would we see it as a sacrificial lamb to protect Earth and humanity?<br>* How would having a habitable moon effect the global economy?<br>* How would having a habitable moon effect the global politics?<br>* How would having a habitable moon effect the global relationships?<br><br>This is a lengthy list of questions, and I know that some of the questions might be redundant, or some might be unecessary, but I'm really interested in hearing your thoughts about this subject.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit: I'd like to thank everyone for the replies.
