My school district is having a bond vote. As someone who has never voted before, what do I do?

My district is having a bond vote on election day. The school I teach at is in desperate need of a new building. Our school has about 1000 kids and 12 different sports. This year, our school has had 4 instances where kids have been sent home from school due to a pipe collapsing and the school flooding. Our school is in shambles and need to replaced. The school has said that they do not plan to stop teaching no matter what.

I have never voted before and I have never had an urge to vote before. I have always believed that our government is corrupt, and no matter who is in office, it will always be corrupt. I have never even voted for anything that had to do with my school district and I have been a teacher in the district for 3 years. I never believed that my vote would make that big of a difference.

I want to vote for the school bond so that the school can be replaced and so the kids can have a good environment to learn. I want to vote for my district so that they can continue to teach and the kids can have a nice building to learn in.

I do not know where to go or what to do. I know I have to register to vote. I am currently signed up to vote by mail. Where do I get a stamp? Do I go to the post office? Do I need to show my ID? If I do get a stamp, where do I send it?

Please help me. I am very confused. I have never voted before and I want to vote for the first time.
