why do i always find myself in a class of 30something people and i'm the only one with an accent all the time

i have a french accent and it's not that strong but everyone notices it. i even went to england and they'd hear my accent and be like "oh thanks for authenticating my experience" and i'm just there to do my homeworks lol.
