I'm a Female and I'm so glad I'm not dating in my 30s. It seems like a minefield for women.

I'm 38 and single, never been married, no kids. I'm beginning to think that this is a good thing. When I was younger, I always thought that even if I didn't find a partner by my 30s, I could still find a "good guy" to settle down with. But now as I see all these horror stories of divorce, cheating, and lack of interest in commitment from most men in their 30s and beyond, I have to think that being single might not be such a bad thing.

I look at my women friends who are married and even though they're "happy", I can tell they're just putting on a brave face. They look stressed even when they're putting on a brave face. The husbands seem like they don't give AF about their wives anymore. Even if the husbands do, there's always that looming risk of divorce and losing everything.

I'm starting to think that being single and on my own and working my career in my 30s (and even 40s) might not be so bad after all. In fact, I'm starting to think that it's downright smart to be single in your 30s as a woman. Your 30s (and even 40s) are when you should be focused on your career and yourself, not be a personal wet nurse and maid to some guy that's likely cheating on you or will divorce you in a heartbeat if you get a little too comfy around the house.
