So, my father was in the military and he used to be about 10 or 15 minutes from an airbase. He would often go to the beach at 3 am with his friend but he still had to be up for work at 6 am. So on this very specific day, he woke up at 3, got dressed, and drove to the gas station to buy coffee and a lottery ticket. Then he goes to the beach and stays there for about 2 hours. He has evidence of the ticket but he doesn't find any trace of him visiting the gas station since they would stamp time on people's tickets. The gas station employee is also a good friend of his, he asked him if he was there but he denies that my dad was there. It happened again when he went to the movies and bought a ticket but couldn't prove that he went to the theater, he asked his friend to go to the movie theater and the ticket guy denied that my dad was there.

So I asked my dad if it ever happened to his family, he said that he used to work in an embassy and his grandfather was the cook in that embassy. A few days before my grandfather leaves the embassy, he comes to my dad's office and tells him about how he moved to an entirely different town even though my dad knows that my grandfather lived in a different town. However, my dad just played along and spent the whole day with him. My dad knows that he's just messing with him and that he's still in town but my grandfather was 100% convinced that he moved. My dad said that my grandfather got pissed when he found out.
