The man who sat next to me in business class.

So, this happened to me some years ago while I (f28) was flying back home from a long vacation. I had a window seat, and just as the plane was about to take off a man probably in his late thirties came and sat in the aisle seat. I didn't want to be rude, so as he passed me I lifted the armrest so he could get in, but he kept standing there. When I looked up at him I saw him staring at me with this weird look in his eyes. He smiled and said, "Hi, can I sit there?" I felt weird and thought maybe he wasn't used to flying in business class. I smiled back and said, "Sure, you can." He then sat next to me and put the armrest back down. The Flight Attendant came and asked us what we would like to drink. I asked for soda, and he said, "I'll have a martini." When she walked away he looked at me and said, "This seat is really big, huh?" Before I could answer, he reached his hand to the other side of my seat and patted the armrest. I was really creeped out but I didn't want to make a scene. I looked up at the flight attendants but they were busy. I could only hope that this flight would leave soon. Luckily, he got distracted with the movie he was watching and didn't bother me for the rest of the flight. At some point I got up to go to the restroom and that was when the weird part happened. When I came back from the bathroom his seat was empty. I realized that there were no other people in business class. I thought maybe he went to first class but then I thought that was impossible. I thought, "Wow, that was weird, but at least I don't have to deal with him anymore."

The flight lasted for six hours. An hour before landing the pilot announced a turbulence, and when it started he asked everyone to buckle up. I did, but when I looked to my right the creep was sitting there buckled up with his eyes closed. I couldn't believe it. I whispered to myself, "What the fuck?" I was so scared then I thought to get up, but I remembered the pilot said to fasten our seatbelts. He then opened his eyes and smiled at me. I thought I was going crazy. I tried to call the flight attendants but they were nowhere to be seen. An hour later the turbulence stopped and the pilot said we could move around. I was about to call the flight attendants when he whispered to my ear, "Don't do it. You'll make a mistake if you do. Just sit back and relax." I pretended to listen to him and when he wasn't looking I got up and went to the flight attendants. I told them everything. They looked confused then asked me to come with them. I followed them into the crew cabin. They radioed the pilot and told him what I told them. The pilot asked them to check the manifest to see if the guy was on the passengers list. When he wasn't there the pilot radioed air traffic control to report an unauthorized passenger. A few minutes later the pilot told the flight attendants to move me to first class for safety. I didn't care at that point. I just wanted the flight to end. Before I left, the pilot told me to call them if I see him again. I nodded and left. The flight attendants locked my door and gave me new headphones, earbuds, and a free meal.

At that point it didn't even feel weird when they treated me like a VIP passenger. I didn't even touch my meal. I sat there and stared at the window the whole time. I only got up when they told me to buckle up. It took forever but the flight finally landed. It was 7 am when the doors opened. By that time I was so anxious and stressed. I saw some of the passengers leave but I waited until the flight attendants gave the okay for me to leave. When I walked out of first class I saw the pilot and the flight attendants at the door. I told them it's okay and left. As I walked away from the plane I felt relieved but I knew this flight would haunt me forever. I have no idea how that guy got on the plane or if they ever caught him. I never took a flight alone since then.
