Best way for a black person to do a pit in a non-black neighborhood?

I know the cops in my area are racist from personal experiences, and I feel the need to do a pit stop. I saw a video on YouTube of a black person doing a pit in the middle of the street and was arrested. What is the best way to protect yourself from that?
