Scan and find free alternative to expensive consumer software

I've recently done some research and found out that there are open source apps for most things I use on my PC. Browsers, code editors, pdf readers. Very often those free alternatives are way better than the commercial ones.<br><br>I think it would be super useful to have an app that will scan the apps on your PC and suggest their free counterparts. Would save people a shit ton of money.<br><br>If there's nothing like this already someone should make it!
