I was a kid and I walked out to the car to meet my parents and this guy was there and accidentally asked me the wrong question.

When I was a kid my parents went on the road a lot for work and they would usually park the car in the garage and close the door before leaving. Well, one day we decided to go out to eat at a Japanese restaurant in the city. I wasn’t very old at the time and this restaurant was about an hour away from our house. <br><br>I think we left just after dinner time and we got there and parked in the parking garage and saved the ticket stub. I was a little kid and wanted to get there as soon as possible, but the restaurant was getting ready to close. I have no idea why, and my parents weren’t really cooking like they usually did so we went. <br><br>We got to the parking garage and walked in and a table was open but they told us we had an hour so we ordered and ate quickly. Much quicker than normal and the restaurant closed shortly after we paid and left. I knew it was closed and the staff were going to start cleaning so I said let’s just go ahead and leave. My parents seemed like they were in no hurry and decided to stay after closing and talk. <br><br>I noticed everyone was leaving and the staff started cleaning so I just got up and left to go to the car. I started walking to the car and when I got to the elevator, there was this guy and he looked off. I don’t know what it was, but he had this eye lock on me that made me feel really uncomfortable. I got in the elevator and he was right there with me and we rode the elevator down to the first floor. I walked off and I noticed he was walking behind me. He was also in my direction. <br><br>We walked to the floor where the car was parked and he was right there. I walked down to where the car was and I couldn’t find my parents. I thought it was weird because they parked it here. I looked around and this guy kept walking past and he was standing there looking at me. I noticed the car and it was parked in the next row over and I walked over. When I walked over I noticed the car was locked. <br><br>I was thinking what the heck, but I hit the alarm and it beeped. I walked to the driver’s side and I had the door handle in my hand. I looked back and this guy was walking toward me. I noticed his car was parked and he was walking my way. I didn’t know what to do at the time. I was young and dumb, but he was walking in my direction. <br><br>I decided I wasn’t going to have much luck getting my parents and I couldn’t break into the car. Since I had a hold of the door handle, I turned it and the car opened. I looked back and he was right there, but when he noticed my hand turn the handle he froze. He thought I had a key and my parents were in the car and I had no idea what was going on, but I just did it out of dumb luck. <br><br>He said weird and walked back to his car. I got in the car and locked it and texted my folks and they came down. They had a table and were talking to the owner. I told them what happened and they didn’t believe me but they looked at the cameras and this guy was following me and when he saw me open the car door he looked like a kid who lost his puppy. <br><br>We did a police report and told the owner of the parking lot and posted pictures of this guy around. Who knows if he was going to do something that day, but I’m glad I opened that car door.
