[Update] My (28F) husband (33M) repurposed my wedding ring and I feel conflicted

Last month, I posted here that my husband repurposed my engagement ring into a new ring that he had made for me for our wedding. I got a lot of feedback here that I should call him and talk to him about it. I can't post the original post because I'm over 30 days past posting it. <br><br>I talked to my OBGYN when I went for my appointment and thankfully she knew us so it wasn't like talking to a total stranger. She said that she was not surprised that my husband had done that as she has seen him do it before with other women (she also had her old ring melted down and turned into a new piece of jewelry). She gave me some insight into why he did it and she said that she's never met a man who cares more about the women in his life than mine does (she's known him for about 10 years now). <br><br>She told me not to be mad at him, but to go talk to him about why I wasn't happy and see if there's a way we can compromise. That she knew of several other women who had their old engagement ring turned into a pendant. So I decided to call him and see if he was up to talk. He was and I told him what I was told by my doctor and he was very happy to hear that. He said that when he had gotten it he had already turned it into a ring and had it sized to my ring size. I told him that I understood and that I appreciated the effort he put into it. I asked if he would be upset at all if I asked him to trade it in for a new band and he said he wasn't and that he would trade it in that minute if it's what I wanted. I thanked him for understanding. <br><br>He then said that he would love to melt down my old ring into a heart pendant and I thought that sounded like a great idea. We then started talking about planning a 2nd honeymoon and he joked about planning a "2nd wedding" (we've decided to call this coming wedding our "Vow Renewal Ceremony") and that's what we're going to call it. <br><br>So for all those who suggested we talk it out...
