Chambers, What if I told you that the hiring process for a $100k job is wildly different than the hiring process for a $500k job.

I’ve applied to two roles in my field, one paying 110k and one paying 500k. Both in tech, senior engineer, both in San Francisco, both in well established tech companies. <br><br>The 110k job was an application online, code test, interviews, done. <br><br>The 500k job was an introduction through a friend, a resume and LinkedIn profile review, 4 hours of in person meetings with 7 senior engineers and directors, and then an offer. <br><br>I have been in this field for 9 years, but am obviously new at this level of compensation.<br><br>Any thoughts?
