I bought a glass mug, and it changed my life.

Hello everyone,<br><br>I'm not sure if this is a common thing that people do. I've see some posts about glass bottles, glass straws, and other glass products. I've stayed away from them, thinking they were more expensive than reusable plastic products. <br><br>But last month I bought a glass mug for $2. I have been using it every day since, and i have noticed so many environmental and financial benefits. <br><br>Here are some examples of how I've saved money: <br><br>1) Gas: My commute to work is about 4.5 miles, and I stop at Starbucks and a gas station every day for a coffee and a cup of gas. This amounts to about 7 miles of driving a day. Now, I can drive 7 miles less a day, by simply not stopping at Starbucks and a gas station. No, I don't make coffee at home. I drink warm water with every meal, so I just drink warm water from my mug all day at work.<br><br>(degree/thickness and a good quality mug is important here, as the drink will not be too hot to hold at any point)<br><br>2) Coffee: I don't have to buy coffee anymore. I save about $4 a day.<br><br>3) Trash: I get a lot of recyclable trash from Starbucks, like the coffee cup and the sleeve. I throw the sleeve in the trash and the cup in the recycling. I've witnessed other people throw both in the trash. I also get a lot of trash from my gas station, like the bottle of water, the coffee cup, receipt, gas bill, and sometimes a plastic bag if I buy something extra. I don't have to worry about getting trash anymore.<br><br>4) Gas: I have to pay for gas twice a day, which is about 2 gallons a day. I spend about $11 a day on gas. I could save $11 a day by not going to Starbucks and a gas station, which is $5.5 a gallon.<br><br>This is a big difference to my financial life, but you might be wondering, how does this change your life? Well, I've figured out a new way to live for the rest of my life. I'm probably going to buy some more glass mugs and things. It's been a really good experience, so I thought I would share it with all of you. <br><br>TL;DR: Buying a mug will change your life.
