This sub is a great and supportive community. But you need to spread awareness of gun buyback groups. Some are run by people with good intentions but a lot are just run by people trying to buy your guns for a fraction of the value with your money. The anti-gun agenda is trying to use everybody's tax money to buy everybody's guns.

I recently purchased a used Glock with aftermarket grips. Not only did the grips make it look cool but it made the gun incredibly comfortable to shoot. I've been trying to find out what kind of grips they were but recently the seller reached out to me. He was asking if I could meet up and identify them for him.

Apparently, he is getting it back because it was stolen from the police station. He said one of the police officers that donated the guns to this buyback group kept the serial number. I'm glad the guns aren't going into the hands of a child but I didn't know you could buy a gun and it comes with the serial number. I'm doing some research right now on the group but if you have dealt with one of these groups before let me know. What are they like? Do they really pay market value or even above that? Please share your stories.

Again, I don't want your guns, but I don't want people paying you half the value of your gun with your money. Make sure to do your research and I apologize for any rambling. I'm still shaken up from the news.

Edit: I changed the title to some people. I don't know if it's a coordinated effort. I just think everybody should be aware of these groups.
