How to write a romance scene

Hello, my lovelies. I'm in the process of writing a book and I have to write a romance scene, I don't know how I'm going to do it so I thought I'd ask you all. It's my first time! Once you're done, could you give me a little feedback? I'd really appreciate it.<br><br>The romance scene is between Elena (23) and Darien (22). It is set in the evening. To set the mood, brief description of the room:<br>- Walls made of pale grey stone<br>- Flickering candles above the two beds, each bed a different color (blue for Darien, white for Elena)<br>- Grey and white stone floor<br>- A thick white rug before each bed<br>- A lone candle is lit on Darien's bedside table, he is sitting on the edge of the bed with his feet on the rug.<br>- A lone wooden chair sits at the foot of Elena's bed. The chair is painted a deep red color.<br><br>So that's the setting, now the two characters. Darien is the one who initiated the romance, he's trying to get in the mood so he puts on music and is wearing a black tank top and red boxers. He wants to be able to make Elena comfortable, so he has on a pair of drawstring linen pants. He's positioned himself at the foot of the bed, sitting primly on the edge, like a man awaiting a blind date. Elena walks in and sits in the chair. She hasn't showered yet, so her hair is in a messy bun and she is wearing her formal nightgown. Darien, even with all he has done, walks over to her and makes her sit on his bed. She is scared as he sits beside her and tries to kiss her, but she turns her head away and he ends up kissing her on the cheek. She says in a shaking voice that this is going too fast, but he insists they can do this.<br><br>- Elena is a virgin and has never been in a relationship, or had a love interest.<br>- Elena has low self-esteem.<br>- Elena has never experienced any kind of physical affection, except being hugged by her mother and the above kiss on the cheek from Darien.<br>- Elena is scared, shy, and is starting to panic.<br><br>- Darien is also a virgin.<br>- Darien was born with a disease that makes him immunocompromised.<br>- Darien has never experienced any kind of romantic relationship.<br>- Darien has never experienced any kind of physical affection, except being hugged by his mother and the above kiss on the cheek from Elena.<br>- Darien is nervous, but intent on exploring intimacy with Elena.<br><br>That's enough information for now. I want to write this correctly so please give it a lot of thought. I want to set the mood, but I don't know what to write or how to convey the emotions. Please help me. I've never been in this situation before and don't know how to write it. Please go slow and give a warning when you're going to go into more graphic descriptions. <br><br>Thank you so much for all your help. I really appreciate this!
