I was recruited before 20% layoffs. Do I still have a job?

I was recruited about a month and a half ago for a data scientist position at a firm. The process took a while, but I finally had a very positive reaction from the people I was interviewing with. During this time I got a call from an internal recruiter to review the offer they are making. The news about the layoffs in the firm broke about 3 hours after my call with the recruiter finished.<br><br>Should I reach out to them? There hasn’t been news about any of their data analysts/scientists getting laid off, but I don’t know what there will be news about tomorrow.
