Samantha sat in her old, oak desk, her two long, black braids falling down her back like they were trying to crawl off of her head. She was so fucking annoyed.

Once upon a time, she was a hopeful Disney princess, awaiting the day when Prince Charming would come for her. But then she went crazy. She hacked off her long locks and burned all of her pretty dresses. She protested at schools, fighting for the rights of the rebels.

And then she was murdered.

Crazy, evil Queen Sally was born, a spirit who could travel anywhere, anytime. But she was stuck in a wheelchair, a punishment for not being able to control the actions of her own body.

And now, she was in a room filled with children, two long, black braids hanging from her head.

“Once upon a time, there was a princess with black hair,” she began, the children staring at her.

“So she’s you?” A little girl asked.

Samantha nodded, a smile creeping onto her face. “Yes. Once upon a time, I was that princess. But now, I’m a vengeance-seeking spirit.”

A gasp filled the room. The children stared at her, their eyes wide with fear.

And then, a little boy raised his hand. “Why?” He asked.

Samantha sighed. “I was once pretty. I had long hair and pretty dresses. But then I went crazy, and I hacked off my hair and burned my dresses. People didn’t like me, for some reason.” She laughed.

“Why?” Another girl asked.

“I have no idea. But I was punished. I was forced into a wheelchair, and made to tell the story of the princess I once was. And now, I sit here, and I tell my story to a group of children. And you’ll come and listen to me, thinking that I’m just another story.” She sneered.

“But I’m not a story. I’m a ghost, a spirit with no control over her body. But now, you’ll sit, and you’ll listen.” She grinned.

There was a knock at the door. The children turned to see a shadowy figure standing in the doorway. The children gasped, and they all turned back to Samantha.

“You let them get away with it, didn’t you?” She asked.

The shadowy figure didn’t answer. Samantha tightened her fists and stood up.

“Why? You let them get away with it. Why?” Samantha yelled.

The shadowy figure stepped forward, and the children gasped. It was a man. He was tall, and his eyes were cold.

“Queen Sally. You know you’re not crazy. You’re not evil. You’re just a spirit.” He said.

Samantha scowled. “You’re Prince Charming? You never came for me.” She said.

“Queen Sally, you were so beautiful. But you were so, so evil. We had to kill you.” He said.

Samantha let out a cry of rage and flung at him. But he dodged and took out a knife. He stabbed her in the heart.

The children screamed and they all ran out of the room.

Samantha took out the knife and wiped away the blood. “Well, that was fun. Where’s my next audience?” She said.

The shadowy figure nodded, and he pushed the wheelchair forwards while Samantha played with her braids.
