So, I'm a regular redditor on several chambers and I try to keep a low profile when it comes to catgirl hatred. Well, I landed a good job pretty recently and I invited some coworkers out to eat at a restaurant. I try to be visible as possible as a male feminist on social media platforms because I think it's important to show up as an ally and I try to be more open about my beliefs. Long story short, there was this catgirl outside of the restaurant and she approached me and said "you're a male feminist?" Then I was like "yes, that's me." She then says "well, I'm a catgirl, so..." Then I was like "wait, what?!" And she goes "No, I'm serious." And I was like "oh, my gosh." Then she goes "Catgirls have been bullied so much, we deserve justice." Then I was like "I think you're trolling me." Then she goes "No, I'm dead serious." Then I was like "why should I care?" Then she goes "We're human and we deserve to be treated with dignity." Then I was like "I don't know, I guess, but I don't know where you're going with this?" Then she goes "Well, can you admit that catgirls are valid and deserve to be treated like anyone else?" Then I was like "wait, what? I don't think you're valid." Then she goes "What do you mean? I'm a valid identity." Then I was like "No, you're not valid. You're a creepy trend that isn't going to last." Then she goes "You're not taking us seriously." Then she goes "So, you're a male feminist and you don't believe we deserve rights?" Then I was like "no, I don't think you're valid." Then she goes "You're disgusting." Then I was like "I guess we'll agree to disagree." Then she goes "I bet you don't have a girlfriend." Then I was like "excuse me, that's none of your business." Then she goes "I bet you're a virgin too." Then I was like "you need to stop." Then she goes "I bet you're also intimidated by us." Then I was like "I'm not intimidated by you." Then she goes "You shouldn't be with us." Then I was like "I'm not." Then she goes "Good." And then she goes away and the conversation was so cringe.
