How close is Google’s Gemini to AGI?

The Gemini announcement was a huge tease and I’m really confused at how Google could be so open about a model that they describe as being capable of human level general reasoning and yet also be so cagey about it. <br><br>This line from the Google Gemini page has me thinking about it all day.<br><br>“Gemini is a next-generation AI technology capable of human-level general reasoning.”
