My father passed away in 2019 and before he died he left my brother and me $10,000 for us to use to travel the world. It was a dream of his that never came true because he got married at 20.

My mother got $50,000 and she used most of it to fix our house. My brother and I live in the house but he's hardly ever here because he lives with his wife.

I felt bad using the money he gave me because it was such a large sum, I'm using part of it for college and part of it to travel to Asia next summer.

My mom came to me and said she's going to give me some money to go to Asia and I told her I had money to go. She wanted to know where I got the money from and I told her my dad left me some.

She started screaming at me for not telling her and said she wanted to use some of it to get her teeth done, she's been wanting them done for years.

I told her no and she said she's my mother and she could use it if she wanted to and I should be grateful she was giving me some.

I said no again and said I'm not comfortable and she started yelling again. Since then she's been angry at me and my brother said it's wrong for me to not let her use it.

AITA?
