AITA for giving my wife a small purse for her big purse?

I want to preface this by saying that my wife has a huge collection of "baby bags", which is just a huge purse that holds everything she needs for herself and our baby. She has about 25-30 of them in various colors, shapes, and patterns. Whenever she buys a new outfit, she will also buy a new baby bag to match it. I've asked her why she buys so many, and she says it's because she wants to match with the baby and she doesn't want to carry around the same bag enough for it to get worn out.<br><br>I think it's excessive and a waste of money and space, but I haven't made a big deal out of it since she only spends her own money on them.<br><br>Well, yesterday was her birthday. I got her a gift I thought she'd like; she loves matching the baby bag to her outfit, so I thought she'd like to match her baby bag to her jewelry too. I found a baby bag made of a flexible, beaded material, kind of like one of those beaded wine bottle necklaces. I gave it to her, and she was livid. I asked what was wrong and she said that it was too small to be a baby bag and that it doesn't match any of her outfits.<br><br>I said she could wear beaded necklaces with it and she told me to stop being sarcastic and that I clearly got her such a tiny baby bag on purpose because I don't like how many she has. I apologized and said I'd exchange it, but she called me an asshole and said that I should have just not given her a baby bag as a gift if I was going to be so disrespectful.<br><br>So I'm wondering AITA for giving my wife a small purse to match her beaded jewelry instead of a regular sized one to match her outfit?
