I’ve always thought that the best thing about having kids was a family, and I just realized that’s bullshit.

I just turned 20 years old, and I’ve always known that I don’t want to have kids. But I’ve also always wanted a family. A family can be your best friend, an animal, etc. and today I just felt so much better. I’ve been feeling like I can’t get rid of the pressure of having kids, but that thought - what the fuck do I need kids for? I know it’s dumb, but it just changed everything for me.
