So I posted here a few months ago. I was in the hole for about 120K and I only make about 20K a year. I asked for advice and most people told me to run away and never pay it back.

I did a ton of research though and decided to use one of those credit card debt consolidation companies that calls your creditors and gets you better interest rates and lower payments or settlement payments. The woman I spoke to was super nice and it was completely free.

So I get to pay like 450 per month for 8 years and it'll all be paid off. Apparently the company I used was able to settle the debt for less than what I owed with only a 6% interest rate. I was paying 20% interest on the credit card before. I also found out that it'll only be like 3 years of payments before the debt is paid off.

I'm not sure if this is the best way to handle debt, but I think it'll help me be able to pay other bills and I already have built up a small savings for the first time since 2020.
