Trying to buy a gun in California.......

I live in California, the gun buying process is honestly insane. <br><br>I've been trying to buy a Gun for.... months now. (I have no felonies, all I got is a speeding ticket for 80 in a 65)<br><br>Step 1: Told I needed a pistol permit. (1 month wait) took a course, submitted my paperwork.... waited 3 weeks (with each passing week I'm told wait another 3 weeks so I guess they say 3 weeks to say the least...) <br><br>I get my permit, it's for a specific category of handgun (sized for small hands) that's the only thing I can buy.... <br><br>I go to buy the Gun, find out I need to apply for a "Background Check" with the state of California that also takes 30 days.... <br><br>Why do I need a background check with the State of California if I have a Pistol Permit?... <br><br>I apply for the background check and it says it will take 30 days.... (I'm currently in day 23 of the background check)<br><br>And if I'm still approved, I get a "Authorization number" that I can take to a dealer and they can sell me a Gun with a 10 day waiting period.... <br><br>At what point does someone tell an overbearing government "This is ridiculous and not Constitutional." <br><br>I'm so frustrated, I'm not even sure I want a gun anymore. I just want someone to tell the Government of California to fuck off. <br><br>Why do I need a 10 day waiting period to buy a gun when I have already done a background check? <br><br>Why do I need a pistol permit to buy a gun? <br><br>Why do I need a background check when I have a permit? <br><br>Why do I need to tell the government what I want to buy? <br><br>Why do I need to tell anyone my height and weight to buy a Gun? <br><br>The California government is violating my right to bear arms and telling me I'm "Privileged" to buy a Gun. <br><br>Fuck California.
