An excerpt from "Skin in the game" by Nassim Taleb. I've been reading the book and this block of text although unrelated to productivity of self improvement, resonated deeply in me.

Context: We all need to get a job and be productive in order to earn some of our own skin in the game. But how could we be productive if we can't tolerate ourselves or society? And vice versa, how can we love human society and be productive in it if we cant tolerate our own selves?

What are your thoughts on this?
