Alright, several stores in my area are implementing the Alcuniform thing. The first one I saw was a few weeks ago, at a liquor store. I just went to a grocery store that has a liquor section, and lo and behold, the Alcuniform is now there. If you don’t know it’s this fancy ass scanner you have to use before it lets you through an entry point. I’ve seen people talk about it here, and nearly everyone has said it’s only for liquor. I’m in Canada, and the liquor stores here have their own aisles, it was only liquor stores that had it initially. I didn’t think it was a widespread thing for other stores.

I’m not the kind to just steal liquor, I like to steal all different things, mostly grocery or snacks. Now, if I’m gonna steal from this store, it’s gonna be expensive stuff or liquor, which is just not what I like. I’ve been stealing from this spot for years, and now I’m forced to either steal more expensive things and have smaller hauls, or I’m forced to stop.

Idk, some of you have this problem, and I don’t see people talk about it much. Just venting, but what are we forced to do here? Now it’s even more obvious if I’m stealing, and I have to be more careful with everything else. Anyways, thanks for listening to my Ted talk

Edit: I’ve been reading the comments and it’s cool to see people with different perspectives. I think I was just disappointed is all, the liquor sections are usually a good place to hide, and now that’s not possible. I’ve always kept my thievin’ casual, only stealing in the ballpark of $50-70, I know some people take way more, but that’s just enough for me to not feel like I’m exploiting the system. But now I’m forced to change my ways and my strategy, and that’s no fun boyo.
