Would you choose to upgrade your intelligence, even if it meant losing your personality?

Let's say, in 15 years or whatever, people are able to upgrade human cognition to the point where it rivals AGI. I think a lot of people would choose that. They would want to be smarter, more productive, and have more fulfillment. However, as I understand it, there would be a substantial risk that the upgraded person would not be the same person. <br><br>In essence, they would just be a more intelligent person with the same memories, and a completely different personality. Would you choose that? Would you be willing to sacrifice your sense of self for the sake of intelligence?
