Productivity is the enemy of creativity. Why? Because creativity requires time to run away, time to do nothing, time to stare at the ceiling. Productivity requires time management, goals, focus. The more productive you are, the less time you have for creativity. What I mean by productivity is the ability to get the most amount of work done during the shortest amount of time. In contrast, creativity is the ability to think outside the box and come up with new, imaginative ideas, and this often requires doing nothing ( literally just laying on the bed doing nothing ) to cultivate. By focusing on productivity, we focus on using up all of our time, and we lose time for being creative.

One can say that being creative is also being productive. I disagree, simply because that's not in line with the definition of productivity.

Remember, the ultimate enemy of creativity is productivity.
