You guys always talk about your women in the bar stories. What about your women in the gym stories?

I go to the gym at 5am every day. I usually work out for around an hour, sometimes less. I'm not trying to make friends, I'm just there to do my own thing.<br><br>In the 4 years I've been going, I've had 2 women approach me and ask to work in with me. Both times, I was benching and they wanted to use the bench. Both times, they came up to me, smiled, and asked "would you mind if I worked in with you?"<br><br>Both times I said "sure" and we started talking a little. Both times, I offered to let them go first while I did something else. Both times they told me to go ahead with my sets and they would go after.<br><br>Both times, I finished my sets and was done on the bench, but they hadn't even started yet. Both times I told them "I'm done, go ahead" as I was putting my weights away and they both asked me "do you need any more time on the bench?" Even though I was already walking away with my weights.<br><br>Both times I said "no I'm good" and they said "okay" and then started their sets.<br><br>Both times, I was finished with my whole workout and leaving before they had even finished their first sets. Both times I said "have a good day, see you around" as I was walking out, and they both looked at me, smiled, and repeated "you too" as I walked away.<br><br>I don't get it.<br><br>If a man approached me in the gym to ask to work in and I told him to go ahead and he said "no I'm good" and then stood there for 10 minutes while I did all my sets, I would without a doubt think he's trying to flirt with me.<br><br>But these two women were just genuinely being nice and I was reading the signs wrong.<br><br>But at the same time, its not like they were just asking to work in and then ignoring me after. They were being extra friendly and smiling at me and saying all the right things. I think maybe they just wanted to chat with someone because it was early in the morning and not many people were there yet.<br><br>I don't know though. I'm really bad at reading the signs. I've had plenty of women show obvious interest in me and I just don't get it until a friend tells me.
