I think I might have won?

Ok. I am in my 50s. I have been using drugs on and off for 40 years. I was addicted to heroin and crack for over a decade. I smoked meth 3 times a week for 5 years. I smoke weed every day. I drink a couple of times a month. I did not think I could handle my pain from an old injury without drugs. So I went to a dr and got some short acting oxys for my pain. I did not take more than one at a time. I did not get high. I was very disappointed. I may have won my drug addiction. I still smoke weed, but I do not smoke weed to feel high. It just helps me fall asleep at night when my pain would not let me sleep. I will never be a casual drinker, but I don't drink enough to be a problem. I quit drugs and the addict went away. This is my first post ever. I just wanted to say "thank you" to all of you.
